- Cemtrex's mercury monitor approved for testing at Coal fired power plant - Farmingdale, NY (September 19, 2006) - Cemtrex, Inc. (CTEX: OTC) announced that its SM4 Mercury Monitoring system had been approved for testing at a coal fired power plant in Tremble county KY. The boiler exhaust flue gas consists of low temperature and high moisture, thus creating a wet stack condition. Under these conditions the measurement environment represents what EPA believes to be the most challenging situation to be found among well controlled boilers. EPA is very closely working with NIST to finalize the Mercury standards and the Instrumental Reference Methods which are expected to be announced by middle of next year.
